Energy Storage Operations and Revenue Modeling (eStorm)
Using GridSME’s eStorm tool, our clients can model the operations and revenue from standalone storage or generation+storage projects. eStorm uses a market-simulated approach where the battery submits economic bids, based on information known during the bidding period like State of Charge and recent prices, to act as a resource in the wholesale energy and ancillary service markets down to the 5MM granularity. Because eStorm uses known information and does not incorporate a hindsight bias, it does not require a discount to the model’s revenue stream results, allowing for reduced capital costs and maximum project returns.
