In an effort to help a broad audience see and understand how energy storage can be monetized in wholesale electricity markets (e.g., CAISO), GridSME is using its eStormTM model to simulate a fictional in-front-of-the-meter (IFOM) battery operating on a Bay Area PNODE throughout 2019.
We call this fictional storage project “Greenbrier” – a 2 MW, 8 MWh standalone storage resource. As the year progresses, we’ll share the battery’s performance, strategy, results, and our analysis. Below are the results from Q2 2019. GridSME has also published an article providing a high-level overview of Q2 results, which you can find here.
