Senior Power System Engineer - Modeling


GridSME is looking for experienced applicants for its Senior Power System Engineer position. The Senior Power System Engineer position will have a focus on modeling. This role will help our clients achieve their goals through engineering studies and consulting input from the early stages of project development through COD and beyond.

Power System Engineer


GridSME is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support generation interconnection, transmission planning, and power system modeling for renewable energy, energy storage, and other grid-connected projects. This role works closely with developers and clients to prepare interconnection requests, develop system models and single-line diagrams, perform power flow and transient studies, and evaluate transmission system performance using industry tools such as PSLF, PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen OneLiner, and AutoCAD. The Power Systems Engineer also manages client projects and collaborates across GridSME’s Engineering, Reliability & Compliance, and Technical Services teams to deliver practical solutions to complex grid challenges.This position is ideal for an electrical or power systems engineering professional with experience or interest in transmission planning, generator interconnection, renewable generation, and energy storage. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills, along with the curiosity and flexibility to grow across emerging areas of the electric grid.

Compliance Team

Compliance Account Manager


GridSME is seeking a Compliance Account Manager to serve as a trusted partner to clients and help manage comprehensive NERC compliance programs. This role acts as the primary compliance contact for GridSME Managed Compliance Services (MCS) clients, providing NERC subject matter expertise, facilitating stakeholder meetings, developing policies and procedures, maintaining compliance documentation and evidence, and conducting assessments and gap analyses. The Compliance Account Manager works closely with client compliance, engineering, operations, and maintenance teams, as well as internal GridSME subject matter experts, to strengthen compliance programs, implement effective controls, and navigate evolving NERC and regional requirements. This position is ideal for an experienced NERC compliance professional with strong client relationship, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills who enjoys translating complex requirements into practical solutions. The role also supports process improvement, mentoring and development of Compliance team members, business development, and continuous improvement across GridSME’s compliance practice.
