GridSME Welcomes Jill Loewer as an Independent Consultant and Senior Compliance Analyst!

We are excited to welcome Jill Loewer to the GridSME team as an Independent Consultant and Senior Compliance Analyst within our Compliance Practice Area.
Jill brings with her a wealth of experience and a deep, working knowledge of the NERC Reliability Standards and framework. She recently retired from Utility Services after 16 years as a Senior Operations & Planning (O&P) Analyst, where she supported NERC compliance programs across a range of entities including generation (conventional, wind, and solar), transmission, and distribution providers.
Throughout her career, Jill has developed, implemented, and maintained comprehensive NERC compliance programs for her clients. Her work includes the creation of internal controls, training materials, and hands-on support for audits, spot checks, self-certifications, self-reports, and mitigation plan development. Her practical experience and proactive approach have earned her a strong reputation in the compliance community.
Jill has also made significant contributions to industry-wide reliability efforts, serving on multiple NERC Drafting Teams and Committees. She has written and edited key technical documents—such as Reliability Standard language, Technical Rationale, and Implementation Guidance—and has helped shape updates to NERC’s Standard Process Manual. Notably, Jill played an active role in the Cold Weather (EOP-011) and Extreme Cold Weather (EOP-012) Standard Development Projects, helping the industry respond to lessons learned from major winter reliability events.
Jill’s collaborative spirit, technical expertise, and leadership in shaping national reliability standards make her a tremendous asset to both our team and the clients we serve.
Welcome to the team, Jill! We’re thrilled to have you on board and look forward to the meaningful contributions you’ll bring to GridSME and the broader compliance community.
