We are pleased to announce that Max Carpenter has joined GridSME as an Independent Consultant (IndCon) and will serve as a Principal Consultant within our Grid Integration Practice Area.

Max is a seasoned expert with over 25 years of experience in the energy industry, bringing a wealth of knowledge in power market operations, commodity trading, and renewable integration. His career has been defined by a strong track record of leadership and results, particularly in managing complex power portfolios and navigating the nuances of competitive electricity markets.

Throughout his career, Max has worked across several major U.S. power markets, including CAISO, PJM, MISO, ERCOT, SPP, and NYISO. His expertise spans a wide range of disciplines, from power scheduling and trading to power purchase agreements (PPAs) and renewable energy resource management. This depth and breadth of experience uniquely position him to support clients in both strategic and operational capacities.

Max joins GridSME at a time of profound change in the energy sector, and he is eager to help clients navigate the evolving landscape of market reform, decarbonization, and grid modernization. His leadership and market insight will be instrumental as organizations adapt to increasingly complex regulatory requirements and opportunities in power market participation.
